Packaging Bags

A packaging bag does more than protect the product: it explains it. The print carries the brand, the contents, the instructions and the legal warnings — and on a shelf it usually forms the first impression too.

The printing decision rests on two variables: the number of colours and the quantity. In flexo a separate plate is made for each colour and that cost is paid once; meanwhile machine setup and initial waste happen once per job, so the cost per unit falls with quantity. The result is that a simple, few-colour design is more economical on small batches and a multi-colour design on large runs.

We do not outsource printing. Our multi-colour flexo unit sits next to the lines that make the packaging, so colour matching, print placement and film structure are arranged under one roof. When a correction is needed, the job does not turn into a week of back and forth.

Size, thickness and film structure are still set to requirement — a printed bag has to be the right bag first.

Preparation needs a vector logo file, the Pantone references for the colours and the barcode number if there is one.
